YumV'S Probiotics

Recently I was chosen to receive a "Voxbox" from Influenster called the "Treat Voxbox". Influenster is a program that sends you trials of products for your honest review. In this Treat Voxbox was YumV's Probiotics with prebiotic fiber. These are little bears that taste like white chocolate. The kids liked it so much they asked for more! I got to taste a little bit of it and it to me tasted like white chocolate. I would definitely buy these again. They seem to work, and if they make the kids and I feel better it's great.

Thanks Influenster and YumV's for selecting me to try your product.

We normally go to the library on Thursday, but because of the heavy review/test day tomorrow we went today - here are some pictures of our shenanigans.

Today we went to the library on Fee ave, we fed the silly birds, and spent 3 hours in the library. We met another homeschooler there, had a nice conversation, and played a lot! I don't think we'll be going back next week though with the haul they got. It will probably be the full 2 weeks before they're done with their books.

Our School Room.

With the thought of homeschooling two kids and the possibility of eventually having all 4 homeschooled, I thought it would be a good idea to have a dedicated school area. Before school started we dedicated the front section of the "play room" for the Learning area. This is the before and after.

The arrangement has been a work in progress, so it has changed slightly from the first day of school (this was actually about a week before that) The bookshelf is no longer there, to allow for more space between my area and C's (we bump each other a lot during the day) and H's area is set up beside mine. Max sits at the little desk at the end and colors or watches the tablet, we do activities with him through out the day as well to prepare him for VPK next year.

Our First week of school in Review.

Adjusting to a new school year can be rough! But I think we did good. All of our pacing guides have us as aiming to complete lesson 1-3, and we completed 1-5 because it made sense with the flow of the course, but also to get in the swing of things. We tried a little variation, this is the first time I've taught 2 different age groups. I tried teaching each kid individually with with the other kid playing with the littles, but this doesn't work as well as you'd hope. So far it actually works better to just sit in the middle of them and work with both of them. M and B play at our feet, and sometimes help.
Thursday was the day we picked for Library, and we found a PE for home school class at the local community center. It starts the first week in September but we went to get signed up, and since we had early voting there, I went ahead and took the kids to vote with me.

As part of the first science lesson for C it suggested going for a nature walk to practice observation, H5's lessons for the week also tied in (Scientific Method ) so on Sunday we all together went for a nature walk, observed, and gathered samples to draw and examine.

Because of the location of this park, and it's historical significance we also tied in to Florida History for H5.  It was a great first week, I am looking forward to a great second week too.
